Healing Marriages

I was recently praying with someone and the Lord began speaking about “Lavish Love”. Over the next few days, He continued to speak to me about this. I want to share this timely word with you. He showed the scripture where Mary of Bethany lavished love on Jesus by pouring the aromatic nard from the alabaster jar on him. (Jn 12:3) This really touched the heart of God in a profound way. He also showed how God so (lavishly) loved the world that He gave His only son for us (Jn 3:16). Another example of incredibly generous, lavish love.

God is so generous and gives so lavishly to us; it’s His nature. He spoke about how this entire Easter season is a season of lavish love. He then asked us to do the same: to use this Easter season to lavish love on someone. It touches the heart of God when we imitate His nature. He even went a step further and selected the person to lavish love upon. Since He knows we would tend to pick someone we find easy to lavish love upon (like a little child), he made it very clear He wanted it to be your spouse. For those who aren’t married, ask Him who He wants you to lavish love upon. (For me, He showed me Israel. That’s a big job.) Anyway, please pray about this and come up with a way to LAVISH love on your husband between now and the end of the Easter season (before Pentecost; May 23). I really believe this is a powerful word from God…so go for it. Touch the heart of God by touching the heart of your husband in a lavish way.

May God bless you abundantly for responding to His word.

Tessa
